About
I have lived on the Central Coast for almost 20 years. I care deeply about my community and the clients I serve. I have worked for San Luis Obispo County, Behavioral Health since 1999. These expereiences have helped to define who I am as a professional and have given me the oppurtunity to learn about the many resources our community provides.
I started my private practice work in 2005 with the goal of giving more individual and specialized care. Most of my clients find me through their insurance providers which helps therapy be affordable and gives them the choice of how long they want to be in treatment.
I provide a wide range of services in the areas of counseling and psychological assessment. I am a certified to conduct child custody evaluations and often provide expert witness testimony, and consulation for the Family Courts here in San Luis Obispo County.
Many people struggle with finding their way in life. It is very hard to do it on your own. Therapy is one of the many tools that people can use to create and sustain change. My practice tends to draw individuals, couples and families who need support with a variety of different challenges and conflicts.
I have experience working in depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, family issues, communication issues, anger management, sexually maladaptive behaviors, mental health issues, relationship issues, school issues and more. I am passionate about helping you reach whatever goals you set for yourself, and my training and experience is the mechanism to create that change.
